The January 2012 SmartVault service update (12.101.124.749) includes the following updates:
SmartVault Portal
This service update includes the following updates to the SmartVault portal:
- Updates to SmartVault plans and pricing for 2012.
- Ability to downgrade plans. For example, SmartVault now supports the following downgrades:
- Professional plan to Team, Individual, or Lite plan
- Team plan to Individual or Lite plan
- Individual plan to Lite plan
- Note: Annual plans cannot be downgraded until the last (12th) month of the billing period.
- New Account Billing page reorganizes and consolidates billing information onto one easy to use page. You can now manage your bill, view old bills, upgrade and downgrade plans, add or remove users, clients, and guests from your account, add storage to your account, and change your billing cycle. A handy table-based calculator allows you to easily see how upgrades and downgrades will effect your bill before you submit your changes.
- The account number has been removed from the Account Settings page and the Billing Type page. Customers and SmartVault support reported that the account number caused confusion. SmartVault now uses an globally unique identifier (GUID) as the unique identifier for an account. You can view your account GUID from the end of a URL when you select the account in the Advanced view, then under Account Tasks in the right task pane click Open with Files and Folders View. For example, when you see

SmartVault Desktop Software
This service update did not include any updates to the SmartVault Desktop software.
SmartVault Web SDK
This service update addresses the following issues with the SmartVault Web SDK:
- Giving a user Read access using the REST interface now triggers a rebuilding of the users virtual folder view (also known as the “greenlist”).
- When adding a user to an account using the Rest interface, the default license type for the user is guest. If a different license type is required, an Administrator can change the license type.
- Numerous other updates to fixes to the REST API. For more information, see http://code.google.com/p/smartvault.
SmartVault Deskop Software SDK
This service update did not include updates to the SmartVault Desktop software SDK.
