Error: No Network Connection

Symptom

Error: No Network Connection.

Resolution

If you are experiencing network connectivity issues with SmartVault, but are not having problems browsing the Internet, you can use the WebService Network Diagnostic Utility to trace the problem and send information about the problem to SmartVault Support.

To use the WebService Network Diagnostic utility:

  1. Go to http://help.smartvault.com/downloads/WebserviceTest.zip and download the WebService Network Diagnostic Utility.
  2. When prompted, click Save to save the file to your desktop.
  3. Unzip the file to your desktop or a specified location.
  4. In the WebserviceTest folder, double click the WebserviceTest.exe file and then click Run.
  5. Type your SmartVault user ID and password.
  6. Click Start, let the WebService Network Diagnostic Utility run for five iterations, and then click Stop.
  7. Close the window.
  8. Go back to the WebServiceTest folder and send the SmartVaultTrace.log file to SmartVault support at support@smartvault.com.
