Cause

This error message typically displays when one or more QuickBooks dlls are not properly registered with your Windows operating system.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, register the QuickBooks dlls with your operating system.

To register QuickBooks dlls with your operating system:

1. Close QuickBooks
2. Exit out of the SmartVault Desktop software by right-clicking on the SmartVault icon in your system tray and then clicking Exit.
3. Right-click on the QuickBooks icon, and then click Properties.
4. On the Shortcut tab, click Find Target or Open File Location.
5. Scroll down the list of files to the reboot.bat or reboot file.
6. Run the file by double-clicking on the file. The DOS window will close automatically when the file finishes running.
7. Restart QuickBooks.
8. Sign in to SmartVault.

The error message should no longer display.
