When using SmartVault desktop software for Windows XP, you may encounter a "No network connection" error message or SmartVault will no longer connect.
Microsoft announced they would stop supporting Windows XP in April of 2014. Since then, Microsoft has decided to let the security certificates and encryption keys in Windows XP expire and will no longer update them. Because of the encryption keys expiring, SmartVault will no longer run securely on Windows XP or Windows Server 2003.
Computers running either operating system are no longer secure when they are transmitting data on the internet and they are no longer HIPPA compliant.
To resolve the issue, please update your system to Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit) or above. SmartVault will no longer provide Support for Windows XP.
