Table of contents

Overview

Error: The folder you entered does not appear to be valid displays when trying to map a SmartVaut Dirve on a computer running the Windows XP operating system.

This error message typically displays when the password you use to sign in to SmartVault contains a special character, such as a colon (:) character or semicolon (;) character. These special characters are not supported by the native Microsoft Windows WebDAV client that the SmartVault Drive uses.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, change your SmartVault password to a password that does not contain a colon (:) character or semicolon (;) character.
