Why can I see files in the SmartVault Portal but am unable to open them?

Although SmartVault Local utilizes your local server/computer to view, edit/create and upload/download files in the SmartVault Connected Desktop, the Cloud service still has access to the file titles and document/folder names associated with your SmartVault account.
