As an example, our toolbar in QuickBooks Desktop displays right from within the QuickBooks user interface, and allows you to attach documents to 30 different types of QuickBooks entries. The SmartVault Toolbar for QuickBooks Online displays right from within the QuickBooks browser interface, and allows you to attach documents to 24 different types of QuickBooks entries.
For example, once you attach documents to entries in QuickBooks, you can view the attached documents right within QuickBooks. You can also view documents attached to entries in QuickBooks using the SmartVault portal, SmartVault Inbox, and SmartVault Drive, as well as share folders that store documents attached to QuickBooks entries with other users.

When to use this feature?
You must install the SmartVault Desktop software, sign in to SmartVault from the SmartVault Desktop software, and add your QuickBooks company file to SmartVault. before you can use the SmartVault Toolbar. Users with a user or client license associated with their SmartVault user ID can use the SmartVault Toolbar. Users with a guest license associated with their SmartVault user ID cannot use the SmartVault Toolbar..
