What Should I Do Now?

Now that you've either started or completed the data migration from DMS To SmartVault, many of you have asked now what

First things first...

Let's check on the migration! Migrations vary in completion time depending on:


  • Upload speed
  • Amount of data to be migrated
  • Number of clients to be migrated
  • Number of migration requests in the queue on the server


We recommend checking on your migration periodically to make sure there were not any unexpected issues.


Please note: If you continue to work in DMS, you will need to synchronize any changes in DMS to SmartVault.

How do I get started?

The next step is to start using SmartVault. With your DMS data successfully in SmartVault, you are ready to use the full capabilities of SmartVault in your firm. If you haven’t attended one of our training sessions yet, we recommend that you do.


Our training sessions provide a useful overview of the product. We also have a full collection of video tutorials for the SmartVault Lacerte and Proseries integration and a self-paced Getting Started guide for using SmartVault with Lacerte or ProSeries.


We have a full collection of additional self-serve materials available at our Support Center.  Additionally, you will find multiple ways such as phone, chat, and email to reach out to our support team should you need assistance.
