DMS Migration Error — Node Already Exists in This Collection

Overview

If you receive an error stating that a node already existing in this collection, it could possibly result from your data containing multiple folders with the same year formatted in a different way. For example, you might have a client with a folder named "TY13". If that same client contains another folder named "TY2013", your migration produces this error. Use the following steps to solve this issue.

Steps

You will first need to select to use either TYxx (TY13, for example) or to use TYxxxx (TY2013, for example).

  1. Click Import Data from the SmartVault Launchpad.
  2. Select Intuit DMS and choose your account. Click Next.

  3. Click Folder Mapping.

  4. Select Tax Year Engagement from the drop-down menu.

  5. Modify the rule here according to the format you selected earlier.

    • For TYxx the expression is TY(?<Year>\d{2})

    • For TYxxxx the expression is TY(?<Year>\d{4})

  6. Click OK to save your changes. Exit the Import Data tool.

  7. If you make any mistakes, open the Folder Mapping window again and click Reset All to start again.

  8. You will need to rerun your migration.
