Error code (0×80040416)


Receiving the following error code 0×80040416 when opening QuickBooks with SmartVault.


If QuickBooks is not running, a call to the BeginSession method must include the name of the QuickBooks company data file.


To resolve this issue:

  • Open QuickBooks with the appropriate company file.
  • Configure QuickBooks to accept automatic logins from the Integrated Applications dialog box in QuickBooks.
