Change Your Default View in the SmartVault Dashboard

Overview

Although the Files and Folders view is the default view for guests and clients, and the Advanced view is the default view for SmartVault administrators and tax employees, you can select the File & Folders view or Dashboard view as your new default view whenever you log in to the SmartVault Portal.

Steps

  1. Click on the "" icon next to your account name in the top right corner of the Dashboard.


     
  2. A drop-down menu will appear.  Under the far right column heading of User Settings, click View Preferences.


     
  3. In the View Type field, click on the down-facing arrow select the view you want to use from the drop-down list.



    For example, if you want to change your default view from the Advanced view to the Dashboard view, select Dashboard.
  4. Click Save Changes.
  5. To view your changes, sign out of SmartVault and then sign back in.
    • To sign out of SmartVault in the Dashboard: click on the "" icon next to your account name in the top right corner of the Dashboard and click on Sign out under User Settings.
