Delete Files and Folders Using the SmartVault Portal


You can delete a file or a folder in SmartVault through the SmartVault Portal


  1. Sign in to the SmartVaul Portal.
  2. Make sure you are in the Advanced View. 
  3. Navigate to the file/folder you'd like to delete.
  4. Click the white space next to the file/folder name in the center pane. 
  5. Select the Delete File or Delete Folder option in the task pane on the right.
  6. Click OK in the confirmation dialog box when you are ready to delete.


You must have Delete permissions to delete files or folders in the context of the file, or must be a member of the Vault Managers or Administrators group.


You can also delete files using the SmartVault Drive or from the Document Viewer in QuickBooks.
