SmartVault QuickStart Pro Tax and Accounting

Congratulations on your SmartVault purchase!

Your next step to getting the most value out of SmartVault is to work one-on-one with a training specialist who will assist you with the initial set up and implementation of your account. We look forward to sharing resources and best practices with you to ensure you and your team are successful with SmartVault.


Session 1 - Account Setup and Administration

At the end of your first session, your SmartVault account will be customized and configured to support your document based work flows. You will be able to invite and manage users and set role-based security permissions, further customize folder and email templates, and can begin to use SmartVault to upload, manage and share documents.


(approx 1.5 hours with trainer)

  • Install and configure SmartVault1
  • Customize SmartVault with your logo and color scheme
  • Integrate SmartVault with your accounting and/or tax app
  • Set up users and security permissions
  • Review and guidance on using folder templates
  • Review and guidance on team and/or client based workflows using SmartVault
  • Review and customize email templates
  • Review audit reporting and activity logs
  • Set up and configure the PDF printer and scanner integration
  • Learn how to import your clients
Session 2 - SmartVault Core Essentials - User Training
At the close of Session 1, your trainer will work with you to schedule you/your staff in one of our Core Essentials training classes. This session will focus on using SmartVault in your day-to-day document workflow.
(approx 1 hour, instructor-led, group training)
  • Using the Connected Desktop to upload, manage and share docs
  • Inviting and managing clients
  • Using the SmartVault Dashboard to support client-based workflows like sending financial statements, organizers, and final returns
  • Best practices for using SmartVault in accounting servcies and tax-based workflows

SmartVault Training Hub

1Limit: SmartVault software installation on 1 administrator's computer.



  • SmartVault login – make sure you have activated your SmartVault access
  • Custom Logo (logo should be 3.5 in wide x 5/8 in tall)
  • Color palette – colors you’re using on your current website


  • Initiation of QuickStart service shall normally be scheduled within 10 business days of date of purchase
  • Installation, Configuration, and Admin Training is usually completed within 1 session
  • After the Staff Training, we will offer a 30 min Follow Up session at no additional charge



  • 1 SmartVault account
  • Installation of SmartVault software on 1 administrator's computer.
  • 1-on-1 training limited to the sessions and times outlined above



  1. SmartVault Delivery Expectations:
    • Completion of most QuickStart Services within 30 days from date of payment
    • Offer service delivery start date within 10 business days from date of payment
    • Response time of less than 24 hours during normal business days for status updates or schedule change requests
  2. Customer Participation Expectations:
    • Customer must be available to complete the QuickStart Service within 30 days from service delivery start date.
    • Customer may, at the time of purchase, request to postpone service delivery start date up to and no more than 30 days, after date of payment.
    • Availability to schedule service delivery start date within 10 business days from date of purchase.
    • 24 hours advance notice to reschedule a service appointment.  Missed appointments will be assessed a $25 re-booking fee.
    • Customer will forfeit all payments of QuickStart if for any reason, misses multiple appointments or chooses not to complete the services within 30 days of payment.
  3. Refund Policy:
    • Customer is entitled to a 100% refund of all service fees prior to Service Delivery Start Date.
    • Upon initiation of service delivery start date, SmartVault shall consider payment for services complete and final.
    • If customer abandons QuickStart after purchase date and fails to notify SmartVault of customer intent to postpone QuickStart implementation, customer’s payment for services shall be non-refundable after 30 days from purchase date.
  4. Additional Charges for Service:
    • Additional service charges may be incurred during your QuickStart.  All additional charges will be provided to customer in writing prior to initiation of charge

      $200   per Hour Custom Staff Training Session

      $100   per Hour 1-on-1 training (after included configuration and administrative training)
      $  25   per missed appointment (without 24 hours prior notice to reschedule)


SmartVault reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of these Terms of Service, at any time.
