SmartVault for Tax Accounting Trial Guide - II. Access and Manage Files - Step 5: Edit PDFs

Overview

You can open any file directly from the Connected Desktop and use a program on your computer to edit the file. For example, you can open a PDF directly from the Connected Desktop, edit the PDF, add bookmarks, add annotations, etc. When finished editing, you can then close and save the document and the changes are made automatically in SmartVault without the need for downloading and re-uploading a file.

Additionally, the Connected Desktop includes a PDF Editor for adding, deleting, and viewing pages in a PDF or document images saved in file types such as .JPEG or .PNG. You can also rotate pages and document images using the PDF Editor. Pages can be added from existing files on your computer or from scanning documents using the Scan tool available in the PDF Editor.
